STUDY OF COMBINED NON-TRADITIONAL TECHNOLOGY FOR GOLD EXTRACTION FROM FLOTATION WASTE

Abstract

This paper discusses the global copper production volumes and the main types of rare and base metals mined in copper mines, the need to select the methods for separating rare and base metals from millions of man-made wastes generated during copper beneficiation and smelting, the need to study each waste stream, and the experimental results of a granulometric study of the composition of waste from the 2nd Copper Processing Plant (2-MOK) taking into account the following aspects: the fact that the particle sizes of gold, silver and copper in the waste correspond to the class -0.074+0.044 mm, the granulometric characteristics and size classes of gold in the waste make up 80-85% of the class -0.074 mm, and taking into account these indicators, the results of sequential crushing and beneficiation of the 2nd MOK waste in a Knelson centrifugal concentrator using the gravity concentration process, the choice of Knelson operating modes (90G, water flow rate 3). The results of determining the amount of valuable components in four samples are presented to determine the degree of transition of metals into the concentrate phase, with the maximum gold recovery value being 56.74% with an amount of 14.41 g/t in the concentrate.
