THE INFLUENCE OF PLANTING SYSTEMS AND METHODS ON THE DYNAMICS OF LEAF YIELD IN SWEET POTATO
Abstract
This article investigates the impact of various planting systems and densities on the leaf formation dynamics of sweet potato grown in open fields and under film mulch in Uzbekistan. The research results indicate that the film mulch cultivation system accelerates the development of vegetative organs compared to open field conditions, increasing the leaf count by an average of 70.6 – 74.1 units. The highest values were recorded in planting schemes of 90x25x1 cm and 70x30x1 cm, where the optimization of the nutritional area ensured the maximum photosynthetic potential of the plants. The data presented in the article serve as a scientific basis for selecting optimal agrotechnical parameters to achieve high yields of sweet potatoes. Keywords
